You’ve found a spread on Discover and checked the orderbook. Before buying, check three things.

1. Is the seller trustworthy?

Expand a row in the orderbook to see trust indicators on each quote.
  • Green shield — Platform-authenticated (StockX, GOAT, eBay AG). Safest.
  • Amber check — Top seller with strong track record on that marketplace.
  • No badge — New or unverified seller. Consider authenticating yourself.
Use Verified Only on Discover to filter out unverified sellers entirely.

2. Does the spread survive after all costs?

The fee toggle shows platform fees, but a real trade has more costs:
  • Shipping to you — Free on some platforms, $10-15 on others
  • Forwarding fees — If using a service like Planet Express ($5-15 per package)
  • Authentication — LegitApp or similar ($3-5 per item)
  • Shipping to buyer — Outbound shipping when you sell
Turn on After fees on Discover to see realistic spreads. Then mentally subtract any additional costs that apply to your setup.

3. Is the product liquid?

Check the Vol (7d) column on Discover. Higher volume means the product is actively trading and your order is more likely to fill quickly. Low-volume products can show attractive spreads but may take days or weeks to sell.
Use Hot Spreads view to only see products with 10+ trades in the last 7 days.

Quick checklist

  1. Is the seller verified or high-trust?
  2. Does the spread survive with After fees on?
  3. Does it survive after shipping + authentication costs?
  4. Is the product liquid? (7d volume > 10)
Once you’re confident, place the order.
